Parents oppose city garage, fear loss of playground

The Annapolis Capital reports:

More than 1,500 residents have signed a petition as of last week against a plan to build a parking garage that would mean moving a popular downtown Annapolis playground.

To revitalize City Dock, Mayor Josh Cohen wants to strip away the pavement around the harbor, making way for more parks and pedestrian activity on the water’s edge.

One idea for making this possible is to put a parking garage next to Annapolis Elementary School on parcels straddling city land and property owned by the county school system.
